I recently traveled to downtown Los Angeles to visit a 3rd generation, family-owned metal recycling company.

What I saw made me furious, but it perfectly illustrates why I’m running for California Attorney General.

This business is being crushed. There are sixteen different California regulatory agencies that oversee their work. Sixteen! Are that many government agencies really needed to keep workers safe and the environment clean at a single company?

They are picking on this mom-and-pop company, imposing hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees and fines. It is unreasonable and capricious, driving good, hardworking people out of business and out of California.

These agencies need to be held in check by an Attorney General whose top priority is not the Unions or the Special Interests, but the people.
